Every weekend there are teams in college and pro sports that you should avoid like your Crazy X girlfriend. These are teams that are good enough to cover the spread, but are looking at trap game or a major let down. This week the teams that fit this category are Texas Christian University, Georgia Tech, New York Giants, and the Philadelphia Eagles.
Look, nobody east of the Mississippi likes the Horn Frogs as much as I have over the past 3 years. They are well coached, sound in the running game, and can shut down any offense on any given week. With that being said I am tell you to avoid them this weekend. They are currently 10th in the county coming off two covers against SMU and Clemson. TCU is due for a let down and this is the week. They are an 11 point favorite going on the road against a good Air Force team with the 2nd Ranked rushing attack in the county (292 yards per game).
George Tech has a very interesting match up this week against the Florida State Seminoles. The Noles have had a week filled with controversy concerning their head coach Bobby Bowden. This sounds like a win one for the Gipper week to eliminate a lot of the controversy surrounding Tallassaee.
Both the Giants and Eagles have to face double digit point spreads against inferior opponents on Sunday. The problem lies within their quarterbacks who are coming of injuries. Eli with some crazy foot problem that is supposed to very painful and Mcnabb with broken ribs. In both cases I look for very conservative game plans to protect their QB's. This intern will keep the games closer than expected and keep money in your pocket.
