It's finally Bowl Season!!!

We all know college football needs a playoff and blah blah blah, but as a gambler, you gotta appreciate the Bowl Season. 2 Bowl games, a huge NFL game and a ton of good college basketball games today... Let's ride!

SAINTS (-7.5) over Cowboys
Seems to me like this line should be around 10, which made me want to take the Cowboys at first. Everyone knows Dallas is bad in December, but that is not why I'm going against them. The Saints are winning their games at home by an average of 15 points and who can forget the show they put on against the Patriots in a Prime time game a couple of weeks ago.

Rutgers (-2.5) over Central Florida (St. Petersburg Bowl)
This line is a bit fishy to me... I thought it should be around 7. UCF is playing close to home, but they are out of their league in this match-up. There has been a lot of talk about how bad the Big East is, and rightfully so. Schiano is a solid coach, the Scarlet Knights will be ready to play.

Wyoming (+10.5) over Fresno St (New Mexico Bowl)
Wyoming has only been to two bowls since 1992. Meaning that despite how lame this bowl is, this is one of the biggest games in the history of their program. That alone is enough to take the 10.5 points. Look for them to play with a lot more emotion than Fresno early on.

Florida (-7) over Richmond (N)
Moving to college basketball... Richmond has a couple of nice wins this year (Mississippi St & Missouri), but have dropped their last two including including an 18 point loss at the hands of South Carolina. The Gators suffered their first loss of the season in their last game against Syracuse and I look for them to bounce back here.

BUTLER (-6) over Xavier
X won a very emotional game against their rival UC and have only played one true road game this year and lost (71-56 at Kansas St). They already have three losses to date and I really don't think this team is as good some of the others they have had the past few years.

North Carolina (+7) over Texas (Game being played at Cowboy Stadium)
This is the first real test for the Longhorns. UNC is young, but they have already played against some very good teams this year (Kentucky, Syracuse, Michigan St and Ohio St). Seven points is too many for them to be getting against anyone.
